Stay at a Suite inside this Football Stadium

Ever wanted to enjoy watching you favorite sports team from the comfort of you hotel room?  Normally you can just on the TV and do so. However now in London you can watch football games, rugby union games, and concerts at Twickenham Stadium literally out the window of the your hotel room.  The London Marriott Hotel Twickenham is built inside the stadium and has 6 unique Pitch View Suites that overlook the field.  Each one of the suites offers a living room, an eating area, balcony seating and a bedroom over looking the field.  If you have a group of friends looking to enjoy the game it's a great way to do it together in your own private room.

History

Originally built in 1907, Twickenham Stadium underwent a huge renovation in 2005 upgrading it to one of the most modern stadium in London and home to the Marriott housed inside of it.  It's main purpose is holding Rugby Union games for the English National Team and occasionally playing host to Rugby World Cup.  Then in 2015 it entered a contract with the NFL to host 3 games football games every year.  Over the next two weeks two of those games will occur for the 2017 season with the Arizona Cardinals playing the Los Angeles Rams on October 22nd and the Minnesota Vikings playing Cleveland Browns the following week.  In addition to sports it has also played as the venue for many high profile concerts over the years including U2, the Eagles, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.

Using Points

Marriott Category: 6

Points Per Stay: 30,000

Average Cost: $153.80

Unfortunately for the major upcoming events most of the availability for the pitch view suites is sold out.  However when looking in advance the average rate for the suite is £280 (or $350) when available.    The pitch view suite can also not be booked with points but if you are just interested in using points and still being inside the stadium there is plenty of redemption opportunities.  Being a Marriott Category 6 and having just an average nightly rate of only $153.80 makes points stays below average with a redemption rate of $0.0051 per point.  Though there are two days upcoming in 2018 that provide a stellar rate of $0.0198 (cash rate is $594), those dates are February 10th and March 17th for national team's Six Nations matches against Wales and Ireland.
